WCBL Players of the Week for June 10 – 16

The Western Canadian Baseball League has released the Players of the Week for June 10 – 16.

Okotoks Dawgs outfielder, Tristan Peters is the WCBL Hitter of the Week after he posted 14 hits, four homers, nine RBI’s, and an OPS of 1.412. His best game of the season thus far came on June 13th against the Moose Jaw Miller Express when he went 3-6 with a homer, four RBI’s and three runs scored.

The honourable mention for Hitter of the Week was handed to Jack Barrie of the Weyburn Beavers after he hit four homers and complied 10 hits, eight runs scored, and 13 RBI’s.

WCBL Pitcher of the Week was handed to Regina Red Sox righty, Michael Batten after he had a stellar start against the  Swift Current 57’s where he tossed 7 1/3 innings, striking out 13, allowing no runs and a .214 opponent batting average.

Aaron Pugh of the Swift Current 57’s was this weeks honourable mention after he pitched 8 2/3 innings, striking out six and posting an opponent batting average of .207.
