Three WCBL games were postponed after rain washed away all of the Saskatchewan games slated for the day.

Yorkton Cardinals vs Melville Millionaires – Postponed to: June 24th, 11:05AM

Regina Red Sox vs Swift Current 57’s – Postponed to: July 8th, 7:05PM

Weyburn Beavers vs Moose Jaw Miller Express – Postponed to: August 4th, 6:35PM

Okotoks Dawgs vs Lethbridge Bulls | 8 – 10

The Lethbridge Bulls downed the first place Okotoks Dawgs, ending the Dawgs four-game win streak after defeating them by a score of 10-8. The win improves the Bulls record to 11-8, putting them only three games behind Okotoks in the standings, who fall to 14-5 on the season.

Bulls first baseman, Kaleb Warden continued to dominate WCBL pitching, going 4-5 with five RBI’s, putting him in the league lead for batting average and runs batted in. Warden is becoming a favourite in the WCBL MVP conversation after a hot start to the season where he has slashed .484/.558/.742, with three homers and 22 RBI’s.

Second baseman, Ashton Roy of the Bulls also collected four hits in the win, going 4-5 with a double and a run scored.

Right-handed pitcher, Dylan Steen got the start for the Bulls tossing five innings, while striking out three, before Cal Theal and Evan O’Toole finished off the ballgame.

Edmonton Prospects vs Medicine Hat Mavericks | 3 – 4

It was a 16-inning, walk-off win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks as they defeated the Edmonton Prospects 4-3. The win puts the Mavericks at 8-12 for the season, as the Prospects fall to 10-11.

Mavericks outfielder, John Velasco was the hero after he hit a walk-off single, scoring Nolan Rattai for the winning run. Velasco finished the night 1-6 with one walk and an RBI, while his teammate, Colton Wright crushed a homer in the win, finishing 2-6 with two walks, two RBI’s, and a run scored.

Owen Steele got the start for the Mavericks, tossing the first six innings of the 16-inning marathon, striking out nine on the night. Derek Eubanks earned the win after he tossed the final six innings, striking out four, allowing zero earned runs.
